David John is a senior at Canyon Crest Academy. He has been involved with refugee empowerment in San Diego since 2019. He is a founding member of Nova Spero, an educational refugee empowerment program and served as its treasurer and president from 2020 - 2023. David recognizes the crucial role that sports has played in his life. He is excited to provide organized sports as a venue for mentorship and connections to refugee youth in the San Diego Area.
